Local news reports that on Monday, July 8, 2022, Jamecca Parris’ vehicle was stopped on the right shoulder of Interstate 675. Parris’ vehicle was having issues. Parris was standing outside her vehicle when a tractor-trailer collided with the vehicle. Parris was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger in the vehicle, a child, suffered minor injuries. Clayton County Police believe that fatigue may have been a major factor in the incident.
