Dump Trucks and other Commercial Vehicles Are Held to a Higher Standard
Legal contributor Attorney Brian Mickelsen, an experienced truck accident lawyer, represents victims injured or killed in commercial truck accidents. Below, Attorney Mickelsen shared his insight into the legal options available to victims injured in commercial truck accidents.
“This is a terrible tragedy that resulted in a couple losing their lives. Commercial vehicles are held to a higher standard than your typical vehicle because they are professional drivers. They are governed by state and federal regulations depending on the set of facts. They have to be drug tested, can’t be intoxicated, and have to make wise and safe decisions that a reasonable driver would need to make.”
