Unsafe Truck Driver? Tractor-Trailer Driver Rear-Ends and Kills Michael Ferrazza of Brecksville, Ohio
Friday morning, May 18, 2022, 27-year-old Michael Ferrazza from Brecksville, Ohio was killed in a three-vehicle crash along Interstate 71 in Morrow County, Ohio. Ferrazza was transported from the scene by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The incident took place in Chester Township at around 5:22 a.m.
According to Ohio Highway Patrol, Ferrazza was driving a black 2012 Hyundai Tucson northbound on Interstate 71. Corey Bodenhamer, 32, of Fairview Park, was operating a white 2018 Peterbilt semi-tractor northbound on Interstate 71 when he rear-ended Ferrazza’s vehicle, sending both vehicles off the roadway into the southbound lanes. Edward Bayer, 67, of Lexington, was operating a black 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo southbound on Interstate 71. His and Ferrazza’s vehicle collided. Alcohol and drugs appear to be contributing factors.
The Mount Gilead Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol continue to investigate the crash.
